Common Appliance Problems in Willis Homes
Lake air and rust
Homes near Lake Conroe in Seven Coves, Point Aquarius and Walnut Cove get a lot of humidity. Rust on washer and dryer parts and on dishwasher racks is common. A dehumidifier or vent fan in the laundry room helps.
Well water on acreage
Some Willis properties use a private well. Minerals and sand can clog water valves and filters, which leads to slow-filling washers and ice makers that stop working.
Garage refrigerators
A second refrigerator in a hot Willis garage can run all day in summer. Dusty coils and a failing condenser fan are the usual causes when it stops keeping things cold.
Surges after outages
Storms around the lake often cause short outages. When the power snaps back, the surge can damage electronic control boards. If an appliance shows an error code or will not start after a storm, it can often be repaired.
