A Bosch dishwasher with water left in the bottom usually has a clogged filter, a piece of glass or a seed stuck in the drain pump, a blocked drain hose or air gap, or a failed drain pump. Bosch shows E24 or E25 when this happens. The filter and pump cover are easy to check yourself. If that does not fix it, we repair it from $175.

  • E24The dishwasher could not drain in time. Often a kinked hose or a blocked air gap or garbage disposal connection.
  • E25The drain pump is blocked or its cover is loose.
Try this first

Check these first

  1. Take out the bottom rack, twist and lift the round filter, and rinse it.
  2. Under the filter is a small round pump cover. Pop it open and feel for glass, bones or a fruit pit.
  3. If you have a new garbage disposal, make sure the knockout plug was removed where the dishwasher hose connects. This is a very common cause after a kitchen remodel.
  4. Run a quick cycle and press Start for a few seconds to force a drain.
